Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Syrah from Rudi Schultz once again was a hit with the Tasting Panel. It opens with a smoky cedar and blackberry bouquet with a hint of saddle leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a cedar plank influenced black cherry and black licorice with hints of Slim Jim and coffee. The finish is dry and its moderate supple tannins sail away nicely. This Syrah would pair nicely with Jiko's grilled wild boar tenderloin. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This stunning Syrah exhibits beautiful aromas of dark berry, cherry and pepper that follow through on the lengthy palate. Seamlessly integrated tannins and seductive hints of mocha, earth, and spice add to the complexity of this eponymous bottling from Rudi Schultz.
