Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from S.R. Tonella is Excellent! It opens with a black cherry and black currant bouquet with hints of cedar, black pepper and flint. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth and fresh. The flavor profile is a black cherry and blackberry blend with notes of crushed stone minerality, anise and oak. We also detected some hints of black tea towards the end. The finish is dry and its well-managed tannins build-up nicely and linger for quite some time. This Cab needs some aeration to develop in the near term. The Panel would decant it and pair it with a well-marbled ribeye or a prime rib roast. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Simply complex. Opens with plum, cherry, cocoa and juniper berry notes. Lively on the palate with evolving layers of red & black stone fruit, savory spices and vanilla. Rich, lush fine tannins give way to a lengthy finish of cassis, juniper, mocha and whispers of minerality.
