Wine Review: This midnight purple colored wine in a can from Santa Julia is suggested to be served chilled. It opens with a faint mild black cherry and raspberry bouquet with a hint of strawberry licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The slight chill gives it a definite summer feeling. The flavor profile reminded me of a Beaujolais. Featuring red plum and strawberry flavors with hints of raspberry. The finish is subtle, and the fruit flavors linger a little. While this wine is not very complex, it is one of the best wines in a can I have tried. I would pair this wine with a pan-fried Peking ravioli and beef satay. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This canned wine is the same as our delicious 750 ml bottle. It is dark violet colored with bluish reflections It has fresh and fruity aromas reminiscent of strawberries, raspberries, cherries, typical of carbonic maceration, combined with a soft hint of floral and herbaceous notes at the finish that complements the profile. The juicy, sweet tannins & good natural acidity give a particular freshness and combines well with a finish that is remarkably fruity. Best served chilled at cook outs and picnics on sunny days. Ideal with burgers, mild cheeses, grilled salmon or baby back ribs.
