Wine Review: This clear platinum colored Sauvignon Blanc from Saracina opens with a slightly funky passionfruit bouquet with hints of shy pink grapefruit and apple. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth, clean, and even. The flavor profile is mild green bean and lemon tea blend with notes of saline and passionfruit. We also detected hints of lime and chalky minerality. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. We would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with fried scallops. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Hailing from a few phenomenal Mendo vineyard sites (the majority of which are organically farmed), our Sauvignon Blanc has a bit of a twist: a splash of aromatic variant, Sauvignon Musqué. Juicy and seriously snappy, it opens with lemon verbena, chamomile, lime leaf, and musk melon aromatics. The palate is electrifying, with great natural acidity striking a balance alongside the texture gained from lees contact. It’s a delicious, mouthwatering, and complex expression of Sauv Blanc that you shouldn't miss. Pair with the creamy, starchy, cheesy goodness of your favorite risotto—top it with grilled asparagus or early peas to play up the wine's ultra-fresh notes.
