Wine Review: This clear and pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Saxon Brown has a tropical side to it. It opens with an oak, mild pineapple, and toasted coconut bouquet with hints of peach and sea breeze. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is viscous, luscious, and rich. The flavor profile is an oak influenced pineapple and toasted coconut blend notes of butterscotch, white peach, and ginger. We also detected hints of chamomile tea, kiwi, and passionfruit. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are very nicely extended. We would pair this Chard with a warm toasted lobster roll drizzled with butter.
