Wine Review: This clear and medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Saxon Brown opens with a cinnamon and red currant bouquet with hints of cedar shavings, black pepper, raspberry, and nutmeg. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, fresh, and refined. The flavor profile is a plum and red raspberry blend with notes of loam and mild cedar. We also detected hints of mushrooms, lingonberry, and nutmeg. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate fine tannins linger before drifting away nicely. We would pair this Pinot with veal marsala. Enjoy - KWGTP
