Wine Review: This clear and medium garnet colored Pinot Noir from Saxon Brown opens with a faint red plum and dried strawberry bouquet with hints of oolong tea, violets, and mild black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, and polished. The flavor profile is concentrated stewed black plum, cedar, and mushroom tea blend with notes of dried strawberry and black cherry. We also detected hints of clove and red licorice. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and very fine tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Pinot with grilled lollipop lamb chops. Enjoy - KWGTP
