Wine Review: This clear and dark red colored Pinot Noir from Saxon Brown opens with a moist pipe tobacco and black raspberry bouquet with hints of cinnamon, mild red plum, and clove. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, fresh, and savory. The flavor profile is gentle loam and raspberry blend with notes of red licorice and tobacco. We also detected hints of mushroom, teaberry gum, and dried strawberry with a touch of mild black tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild tannins linger and then drift away nicely. We would pair this Pinot with grilled salmon or beef bourguignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
