Wine Review: This clear and brilliant white gold colored Chardonnay from Saxon Brown opens with an oak and pineapple bouquet with hints of butterscotch and lavender. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with nicely integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, slightly viscous, and a bit zesty. The flavor profile is a tasty mild pear and oak blend with notes of pineapple and butterscotch. We also detected hints of lemon verbena, white pepper, and white peach. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity display a long and sustained finish. We would pair this impressive Chard with a Chilean sea bass or with grilled scallops with butter. Enjoy - KWGTP
