Wine Review: This clear and pale-yellow gold colored Chardonnay from Saxon Brown opens with an initially funky yeasty and cantaloupe bouquet that swirls off before hints of pineapple and kiwi show up. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and round. The flavor profile is a toasted almond, lemon tea, and brioche blend with notes of spice and tangerine. We also detected hints of honey, mild oak, and vanilla. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. This flavor profile while appeal to Champagne lovers.
