Wine Review: This medium garnet colored Merlot from Sbragia was very well-received by the Tasting Panel. It opens with a flinty stone, red cherry candy and bayberry bouquet with hints of lavender and rosemary. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. It was balanced and has great texture and a round mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a tasty cherry-cola and gentle oak blend with notes of plum and blueberry. We also picked up some hints of baking spices and caramel. The finish is dry and its moderate refined tannins and flavors lingered for a while. The Panel called this a complete wine. They suggested pairing it with homemade meatloaf or a pork tenderloin. Enjoy - KWGTP
