Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah based blend from Sea Shell Cellars opens with a fig and black raspberry bouquet with hints of chocolate and licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, approachable, and savory. The flavor profile is blackberry and fig blend with notes of tobacco and oak. I also detected hints of stone dust and black licorice. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild fine tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this red blend with a marinated flat iron steak. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Due to popular demand we decided to bring back our GSM Rhône Collection! On the nose you will enjoy aromas of rose pedal, lavender blossom, pomegranate, strawberry liquor, dark chocolate raspberries, and Tahitian vanilla. On the palette you will notice a fresh leather entry, blueberry scone, Provençal herbs, light peppery oak, bright cherry with velvety tannins. The Collection has moderate structure and a beautiful finish with hints of chocolate and cedar plank.
