Wine Review: This hazy and dark red colored Cabernet Franc from Sea Shell Cellars opens with a black raspberry and celery bouquet with hints of nutmeg, shoe polish and peonies. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth and polished. The flavor profile is black raspberry and nutmeg blend with notes of cocoa, tobacco, and red cherry. We also detected hints of clove, crushed stones, and dates. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins fade away nicely. We would pair this Cab Franc with a filet mignon or venison steak. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The Cabernet Franc tends to be a staff favorite and the 2022 has done it again with orange-peel, roasted mini sweet peppers, chocolate-covered cherries, raspberry, and ripe blueberry on the nose. On the palate, you will taste boysenberry jam, clove, and nutmeg, with a finish of red licorice, lavender, thyme, and braised short rib.
