Wine Review: This ruby red colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Sebastiani opens with a ripe plum, blackberry, black licorice, leather and oak bouquet with hints dried herbs. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, well-balanced, smooth and jammy. The flavor profile is a red plum, blackberry, and black tea blend with notes of vanilla, cinnamon and dried herbs. The finish has bold, yet it has balanced tannins that faded away nicely. This very nice Cabernet Sauvignon is a very good value. I would recommend pairing this Cab with marinated steak tips. Winemaker Notes: Our 2017 North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon is a showstopper of a wine. A lively dark red color in the glass, it opens with aromas of cherry and dark berries with notes of cocoa and cedar spice. The palate is medium bodied and filled with bright, juicy flavors of blackberry, plum, currant and toasty oak. Soft, chocolatey tannins intermingle with a hint of dried herbs on the persistent finish. Pair with your favorite grilled meats.
