Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Red Blend from Sebastiani opens with a red plum and cinnamon bouquet with hints of oak and cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is a blackberry, black licorice, and graphite blend with notes of oak and red plum. The finish is dry, and its flavors and fine tannins fade away nicely. This wine is very food friendly and would pair well with many foods. I would pair with filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our 2019 Gravel Bed Red is a harmonious expression of gravely vineyard sites from a moderately warm vintage. Its deep ruby red color leads into forward aromas of baked plum, earth, cassis and incense. Rich flavors of date, fig and sandalwood lead to a milk chocolate finish over fine tannins. Pair with wild mushroom and ricotta pizza and roasted leg of lamb with au gratin potatoes.
