Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Sequoia Grove opens with a black currant and teriyaki bouquet with hints of violets, dried herbs, black olive, and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and has full palate coverage. The flavor profile is a blackberry tea and very ripe black plum blend with notes of black licorice and fig. We also detected hints of tobacco and coffee. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and managed mild tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Cab with a pan-seared duck breast with blackberry sauce or enjoys as a sipper by the fireplace. Enjoy - KWGTP
