Wine Review: This dark violet colored Sangiovese from Sette Ponti is very old school. It opens with an oak, black cherry and cranberry bouquet with a hint of balsamic. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tart black cherry and oak blend with notes of balsamic. I also detected hints of red plum and thyme. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This wine is built for food. I would pair it with marinated lamb kebabs. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Bright ruby red. Complex with a prevalence of small red fruits and floral notes. The body is beautifully balanced with a long finish. Delicious with full flavored meats and roasts.
