Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Petite Sirah from Shannon Ridge opens with a balsamic and black raspberry bouquet with hints of musty vanilla oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and velvety. The flavor profile is a plum and minerality blend with hints of cherry, coffee, mint and black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are long and linger nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Petite Sirah with a flat iron steak or prime rib. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: As Lake County discovers the varietals best suited to our growing region, our Petite Sirah tends to stand out as one of the top three. True blue fruits, dark flavors and a lengthy finish are compliments of the region, requiring minimal winemaking influence.
