Wine Review: This translucent ruby red Nero d'Avola from Italy has a fresh bouquet of fruity strawberry, blueberry, and some tobacco and floral notes. While not complex, it is easy to drink, medium bodied, with smooth soft tannins and bright acidity. The flavor profile is cherry, red raspberry and pomegranate and it has a nice lingering fruity finish. This good value red wine from Sicily would pair well with steak pizzaiola. - Joe

Winemaker Notes: Siciliana Rosso is grown on the hills of Alcamo facing south by southwest. The well balanced flavors of this Nero D'Avola are enhanced when paired with bold, rich steaks and roasted meats. It is a wonderful match for pizza, pasta with red sauce.
