Wine Review: This deep purple colored "Bobal" grape wine opens with a black tea and black licorice bouquet with hints of black olive and blackberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium to medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balance and round. The flavor profile is black licorice stick and black tea blend with notes of juicy black plum, blackberry, and oak. We also detected hint of some cured meat, black olive and a touch of heat towards the very end. The finish is rather dry, and its rustic dusty tannins stick around for quite a while. This is a very good wine and a great value. If you have never tried a Bobal, this is a low-cost experiment and you will be pleased. We would serve it with a juicy bacon burger or with grilled Angus steak tips. Enjoy - Ken
