Wine Review: This opaque and deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from the Oak Knoll District opens with a black currant and loam bouquet with a hints of Morello cherry, anise and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well-balanced, round and satiny smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty blackberry and black currant blend with notes of oak, Earl grey tea and graphite. We also detected hints of black raspberry and anise. The finish is dry and its tannins build-up and linger and last for a very long time. The Panel would pair this opulent Cab with Brazilian-style skirt steak on skewers or just sipping it on its own. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Intense ruby red in color with aromas of cassis, plum, black cherry, cinnamon and toasted vanilla. The wine dances on the palate with rich fruit flavors of raspberry, ripe cherry, and plum with cocoa and black pepper notes joining in. The rich fruit flavors evolve into a graceful finish loaded with red fruit and chocolate. The wine is lush while maintaining a bright freshness through finish. This wine is THE classic wine to pair with red meat and rich soft cheeses.
