Wine Review: This pale gold colored Chardonnay from the Oak Knoll opens with a pineapple and golden delicious apple bouquet with hints of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with mild acidity. The flavor profile is a green apple and lemon verbena blend with notes of subtle oak and pineapple. There are hints of chalky minerality and a touch of ginger at the very end. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. This Chard is food friendly and versatile. I would pair it with a baked cod with a buttery Ritz cracker topping. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The wine is a beautiful golden straw color with aromas of fresh, green apples, peach, citrus and toasted vanilla. A creamy mouthfeel is highlighted by bright citrus, green apple, pear and lime with just a touch of passion fruit and vanilla. The finish is elegant and dry with persistent pear and oak flavors.
