Wine Review: This deep garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Sojourn opens with a black currant and cedar bouquet with hints of sandalwood, lanolin, and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, round, and silky. The flavor profile is black cherry and green tea blend with notes of graphite and milk chocolate. We also detected hints of spiced red plum, oak, and red licorice. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins are very nicely extended. We would pair this Cabernet Sauvignon with slow cooked beef brisket and pan roasted duck breast.
