Wine Review: This inky purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Stags' Leap opens with a barnyard and black currant bouquet with hints of leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with nicely integrated acidity. The mouthfeel is round, nicely balanced, and refined. The flavor profile is a mild black currant and black cherry blend with notes of fine minerality. We also detected hints of black plum, black tea, and a touch of cedar plank. The finish is dry, and its mild tannins are nicely prolonged. This Cab would pair well with a filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: This wine is classic Stags Leap District Cabernet, offering aromas and flavors of black currant, dark raspberry, and black cherry alongside delicate notes of cedar, allspice, graphite, and espresso, backed up by more savory notes of olive tapenade and chaparral herbs. There is depth, finesse, and elegance, interweaving power, grace, and structure, full of velvety rich tannins and a long, lingering fresh finish. Drinking beautifully now but exhibits the opulence and structure of the estate, that allows this Cabernet to age for many years to come.
