Wine Review: This deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Stags' Leap Winery opens with a ripe blackberry, graphite, and black currant bouquet with hints of cedar, dried coconut, violet, and licorice. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is chalky minerality and mild black currant blend with notes of dried herbs, cedar, and blackberry. We also detected hints of licorice, dark chocolate, and touch of dried coconut. The finish is dry, and its moderate dusty tannins linger for a while before drifting away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with grilled short ribs. Enjoy – KWGTP

Our 2019 "The Leap" Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic example of Stags Leap District Cabernet, offering aromas and flavors of juicy black currants, dark blackberry, and black cherry, alongside lifted, perfumed notes of wild violet and savory chaparral herbs. Full of depth and generosity, this Cabernet is vibrant, viscous, and brooding, with mouth-enveloping texture and balance. With full-bodied elegance and structure, secondary notes of graphite, espresso, dark chocolate, and black licorice come through on the lengthy finish alongside silky, mouth-coating tannins, and freshness.
