Wine Review: This midnight black colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Stag’s Leap is very good. It opens with a mild black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a tasty black currant and oak blend with notes of mild black cherry and a hint of minerality. The finish is dry and its flavors and tannins are nicely prolonged. I would pair Cabernet Sauvignon with a filet mignon. – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Expressive aromas of dark berries, currants, raspberry sorbet, nutmeg and baking spices. The wine has a rich entry with round tannins and plush mouthfeel with lingering flavors of dark fruit and subtle oak undertones. Pair with braised short ribs or pasta with wild mushrooms and prosciutto.
