Wine Review: This inky purple colored Petite Sirah from Stanton performed very well in our blind tasting. It opens with a mild blueberry bouquet with notes of cedar, hazelnut, and cherry-cola. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, smooth and savory. The flavor profile is a cola and vanilla oak blend with hints of blueberry and black cherry. We also detected hints of milk chocolate and cassis. The finish is dry and its tingly tannins are nicely integrated. The Panel suggested pairing this Petite Sirah with ribeye or pot roast. Enjoy - KWGTP
