Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Petite Verdot from Stony Run opens with a violet, smokehouse, and black cherry bouquet with hints of vanilla. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and polished. The flavor profile is a black cherry and vanilla-cola blend with notes of elderberry. We also detected hints of blueberry, cedar, and tobacco. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its sticky tannins build-up nicely. We would pair this Petite Verdot with grilled steak frites. Enjoy - KWGTP
