Wine Review: This clear and medium straw-colored Grenache Blanc based blend from Tablas Creek is very good. It opens with a bouquet featuring white florals and white tea along with hints of lime zest. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and approachable. The flavor profile is a tasty lemon-lime blend with notes of saline and Anjou pear. I also detected hints of almond and brioche. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this white blend with grilled scallops. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The Tablas Creek Vineyard “Patelin de Tablas Blanc” is a blend of six white Rhône and Rhone-adjacent varieties. The 2024 vintage opens with a high-toned nose with tropical fruit and spice at the fore, showing notes of camphor, lemongrass, mandarin, and pineapple. The mouth shows kiwi and fresh apricot fruit, then bright pithy acids and chalky minerals. Drink now and over the next five years. Pair with seafood cooked with garlic and white wine or with green salads with avocado and citrus dressing.
