Wine Review: This very dark garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon based red blend from Paso Robles opens with a dark chocolate and craisin bouquet with hints of orange peel, molasses, and red raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, round, thick, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is mocha and cola blend with notes of juicy black plum and graphite. We also detected hints of marionberry, vanilla extract, cherry, and hibiscus tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild fine tannins drift away nicely. Winemaker Notes: The 2022 Tapestry Paso Robles Red Blend has great color intensity, exhibiting an inky, saturated amethyst-burgundy color. On the palate, the layered flavors support the bouquet with rich, juicy notes of Bing cherry, cassis, black raspberry, and soft vanilla.
