Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Malbec from Tapiz opens with a fragrant light cedar and red currant bouquet with hints of loam and red plum. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a tasty blackberry and black licorice blend with notes of stewed black plum and graphite. I also detected hints of oak, black chocolate and black tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined moderate tannins are nicely sustained. This Malbec went perfectly with my Tagliatelle all' Bolognese at Johnny See Saw Restaurant in Vermont. Enjoy - Ken
