Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored red blend from Toscana opens with a dried strawberry and black cherry bouquet with hints stone dust and violet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and displays nice tension. The flavor profile is a slightly tart black cherry and blackberry blend with notes of graphite and oak. I also detected hints of black currant and dried strawberry. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger and last for a very long time. I would pair this wine with Italian Briacole. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine presents itself with a beautiful balance of elegance and power. Layered aromas of violets, ripe plums and a hint of eucalyptus are prominent on the nose.
