Wine Review: This pale gold colored white blend from Mendocino County opens with a quince, lemon, and Christmas holly bouquet with hint of brioche, and ripe melon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium acidity. It is round, rich, and lush. The flavor profile is honey and apricot blend with notes of buttered English muffin. We also detected hints of peach tea, vanilla custard, and orange in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its flavors linger and last for a very long time. The Panel would drink this white blend on its own. However, with food we thought it would go well with swordfish Oscar or with clam's casino. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The collaboration between François Villard and Donald Patz continues under the Terminim banner. For 2019, the blend of four grape varieties – Marsanne, Roussanne, Picpoul Blanc and Viognier creates a wine of both richness and balance. "Cépages d’Or" or Golden Grapes is a reference to the color of both Marsanne and Roussanne upon arrival at the winery. The addition of the Picpoul Blanc has amped up the crisp acidity that makes this blend refreshing and the Viognier addition gives just a bare hint of exotic aromas. This 2019 Cépages d’Or, is already drinking beautifully with great complexity and freshness. It will match well with all fish (we like sushi!) and friends with a great sense of humor.
