Wine Review: This ruby colored Merlot from Terra Valentine made a lasting impression on the Tasting Panel. It opens with a bayberry, cherry and cigar box bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, refined and round. The flavor profile is a tasty cherry-cola with notes of old oak and graphite. We also detected hints of black currant. The finish is dry and its well-managed tannins build-up slightly and then sail away nicely. This Merlot had a lot of St. Emilion characteristics to it. We would suggest pairing it with a New York strip steak or a seared duck breast. Enjoy - KWGTP
