Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Oregon opens with a mild blackberry and oak bouquet with hints of loam and pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, bright, and savory. The flavor profile is a loam and black cherry blend with notes of black tea and oak. I also detected hints of stony minerality. The finish is dry and its dusty fine tannins drift away nicely. This Pinot Noir would pair nicely with a grilled pork tenderloin with fried sage butter sauce. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2022 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir showcases a beautiful ruby hue in the glass. Pleasant aromas of ripe pomegranate, black cherry, and damp earth with delicate hints of cinnamon and baking spices. The palate exudes juicy, rich red fruit and black tea flavors complemented by elegant, fine-grained tannins and a rich yet focused palate. The finish is bright with perfectly balanced acidity. True to the Willamette Valley, this is a chef’s wine that will pair well with a variety of dishes. We would choose a wild mushroom risotto with truffle creme fraiche.
