Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Titus opens with a fresh brewed black coffee bouquet with hints of mocha, blackberry, and nutmeg. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth and shows some nice tension. The flavor profile is mochaccino and blueberry blend with notes of cedar, stone dust, and black plum. We also detected hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and tea. The finish is dry and its fine and well-managed tannins build-up and linger for a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a filet mignon or your favorite lamb dish. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Sourced from the Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard, the sophomore effort of our "Imperatus" Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. 2021 Imperatus is vibrant and showy from the start with aromas of blueberry, mulberry, espresso, lilac, toasted sage, and black raspberry. The inky palate is generous without heaviness, tension from fresh acidity lead to melted tannins with a pleasant grip. Blue fruits and a pleasant floral note give way to oak spice on the lingering finish. Enjoy 2026-2045.
