Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Tolosa opens with an intriguing and funky smoky oak, chocolate and plum bouquet with hints of beef stock. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, balanced and soft. The flavor profile is a mild plum with notes of old oak and minerality. I also detected hints of cherry and vanilla. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. Our mini-tasting group thought this Pinot would pair well with smoked salmon. Enjoy - Ken
