Wine Review: This opaque dark ruby colored Cab is very impressive. It opens with a mild black raspberry bouquet with a hint of creme de cassis. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, and incredibly smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious gentle black raspberry with notes of black cherry and a hint of plum. There is also a touch of black licorice and oak in the background. The finish is dry and its well managed fine tannins sail away so nicely. This wine is drinking very well right now and would be a perfect match with a filet mignon from Grill 23. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2004 Tom Eddy Cab epitomizes what Napa hillside Cabernet Sauvignon is all about. The wine is rich yet understated and its complex flavor profile is elegant with a subtle intensity that lingers on the palate. Classic Cab aromas permeate this wine as flavors such as black cherry and cassis are interwoven with faint hints of leather and anise. The oak is restrained but flavorful adding some notes of vanilla and spice to round out the finish and add to the complexity of this truly traditional offering.
