Wine Review: This straw colored Carricante from Italy opens with an orange blossom and green apple bouquet with hints of lychee and sea spray. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is chalky minerality and ginger blend with notes of lime and saline. We also picked up some hints of pineapple as well. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Panel would pair this Carricante with pan-seared Alaska halibut or Alaskan king crab legs with asparagus risotto. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Intense straw yellow with faint greenish reflections to the eye; pleasant hints of exotic fruit and above all of grapefruit and white peach mark the nose of this wine which shows its true identity. On the palate, with a very pleasant sapidity and freshness complemented by extraordinary complexity and gustatory sweetness.
