Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Syrah from Argentina opens with a smoky and funky black raspberry bouquet with a hint tar and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. It was also balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black currant and black raspberry blend with notes of anise, black tea, and black plum. We also detected hints of minerality and black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins and acidity linger nicely. The Panel would pair this Syrah with Roy’s rib roast or brisket. Enjoy – KWGTP
