Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Petite Sirah from Trentadue opens with a mild black cherry and chocolate bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a black cherry and stewed plum blend with nicely integrated crusted stone minerality. I also detected hints of clove. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins show nice length and linger. This Petite Sirah would pair nicely with Theresa's meatloaf. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2018 La Storia Petite Sirah was made by blending most of our best blocks of Petite Sirah including some Zin and Syrah. The 2018 Petite Sirah is an impressive wine with very dark, opaque color, beautiful nose of concentrated blue berries and blackberries that leads to a full body mouth feel with engagingly soft tannins. After short aeration the nose opens up with the addition of cocoa, slight earthiness followed by brown sugar and a touch of vanilla-contribution of the new oak barrels. If stored properly, this wine will give you the most enjoyment in 5-8 years.
