Wine Review: This opaque and medium purple colored Shiraz opens with a blackberry and black licorice bouquet with hints of oak, dark chocolate, and graphite. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and graceful. The flavor profile is very tasty black currant and stewed black plum blend with notes of integrated stony minerality, and craisin. We also detected dried herbs, oak, and black licorice. The finish is dry and its well-managed refined tannins and flavors drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Shiraz with a Kona crusted sirloin from the Capital Grille. Enjoy – KWGTP
