Wine Review: This medium purple colored Shiraz opens with a boysenberry and blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth and quite approachable. The flavor profile is a tasty, extracted blackberry and blueberry blend with notes of red licorice. We also detected some hints of menthol and a touch of cinnamon in the mix. The finish is dry and its flavors and gentle tannins drift away nicely. The longer this wine is open, the more expressive the fruit gets. The Tasting Panel would pair this very versatile and food friendly Shiraz with beef bourguignon after at least 30 minutes of decanting. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Color: Deep impenetrable black in color.
Aroma: Lovely lifted notes of olive, violets, black currant, blood plum and fresh raspberries.
Taste: The palate shows pure rich and ripe fruits. It holds an amazing depth and persistence, continuing to roll and roll along with long finish. With a fire line of concentrated dark fruits, this is yum plus. Lip-smacking is the best way to describe the sensation. As always with Gnarly Dudes the secret to soft and velvety tannins stem straight from the magic of Barossa Valley fruit itself. The tannins are the focus of the late palate here, defined, proud and succulent.
