Wine Review: This deep purple colored Shiraz from Two Hands opens with a Maine wild blueberry and plum bouquet with hints of Kalamata olive and strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with fresh acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and juicy. The flavor profile is a blackberry pie and plum blend with notes crushed stone minerality. We also detected hints of lemon and black tea. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins linger nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Shiraz with steak fajita and with a grilled butterflied leg of lamb. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Powerful and rich, deep dark red with a bright core. Notes of blue fruits accented by plum, blueberry, and mulberry tones. Complexing notes of briar, bay leaf, coriander seeds, dried rose petals and ash. Demonstrating a level of restraint for a McLaren Vale red, this Shiraz provides sweet blue fruit notes of fresh blueberry, juniper and mulberry bracketed by a cleansing pop of acidity and savory tannin. The sweet fruit entry gently yields to savory notes of dried bay leaf, briar, dried herbs, and dried rose petals. A wine of sneaky length that catches you off-guard, it slowly builds across the palate. The late palate is punctuated by notes of ash and wild game.
