Wine Review: This dark garnet colored GSM from V. Sattui opens with a plum, black cherry, blackberry, smoky oak and earthy bouquet. On the palate, it is light to medium bodied smooth with mild acidity. The flavor profile features juicy sweet black cherry, bittersweet chocolate, bramble fruit and cinnamon. We also detected some notes of cedar. It closes with a silky finish that fades away nicely. We would suggest decanting for at least one hour before serving. Then we would pair it with a roast leg of lamb. – Karen & Stuart

Winemaker Notes: The entanglement and interaction of these three varieties hold the secret to this blend. The Grenache contributes raspberry and cinnamon spice. Syrah adds dark fruit flavors like blueberry, plum and black olive. The Mourvedre adds tannin structure and floral aromas.
