Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Petite Sirah from V. Sattui opens with a black licorice and mild caramel bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced and round. The flavor profile features tasty blueberry along with Hersey’s Special dark chocolate and oak. I also detected hints of blackberry and clove. The finish is dry and it has moderate tannins for a Petite Sirah. They linger nicely. This wine took a little while to open-up. I would pair it with drunken steak with shiitake mushrooms. Enjoy- Ken
