Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Zinfandel opens strawberry jam and moist pipe tobacco bouquet with hints of peach and nutmeg. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a blackberry and mentholated cherry blend with notes of red plum, cinnamon. We also detected hints of Chinese 5 spice and cedar mixed in. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and dusty tannins show nice length. The Panel would pair this Zin with a messy rack of sweet barbecue ribs or a pub burger. Enjoy – KWGTP
