Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Zinfandel from V. Sattui opens with a red raspberry and strawberry jam bouquet with hints of cinnamon stick and a touch of clove. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with nicely integrated medium acidity. The flavor profile is a wild strawberry and peach blend with notes of Chinese 5 spice, red plum, oak, and a hint of Chai tea. The finish is dry, and its fruity flavors linger nicely. This Zin would pair nicely with Savoury Lane's five fruit chicken or with a cranberry maple chicken dish. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our 2019 Mounts Vineyard Zinfandel opens beautifully with a bouquet of ripe, red cherry fruit followed by earthy notes and toasted sage. This wine displays an elegant balance of bright acidity that highlights red cranberry and strawberry characters which are carried through by delicate sweet oak on the finish.
