Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Zinfandel from V. Sattui opens with a fragrant brambly mulberry, red raspberry and menthol bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel bright, racy, and fruit forward. Those fruits are a concentrated blend red currant and juicy red plum with notes stony minerality and cinnamon. I also detected hints of tart red cherry and cedar. The finish is dry, and its mild dusty tannins linger nicely. I would pair this Napa Zin with garlic-rosemary pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our 2019 Quaglia Zinfandel has inviting aromas of wild plum, and earthy, dark cocoa, followed by warm baking spices of cinnamon and nutmeg. A round, soft acidity flows over the palate, unveiling succulent layers of blueberry pie and vanilla that are elegantly balanced by rich, toasted oak for a lingering finish.
