Wine Review: This ruby colored Zinfandel opens with a black currant and red raspberry bouquet with hints of black licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, bright and has very nice tension. The flavor profile is a tasty red plum and mulberry blend with notes of stone dust, brambly red raspberry, and menthol. I also detected hints of red licorice. The finish is dry, and its refined dusty tannins are very lengthy. This very nice Zin would pair well with a Carolina style pulled pork sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
